New Exotic Babies in Bali Zoo

With the birth of new exotic babies in the Bali Zoo, it is expected that more and more people and tourists will come to visit Bali and book the many villas Bali and villas in Bali for rent.

According to an official of the Bali Zoo, three new additions have been welcomed here in the past two months alone. Among these is the endangered Bali starling chick which hatched last November 21 and is only the third captive-born Bali starling in the zoo.

The silver gibbon, which was born on November 17, and the dusky wallaby, which was born on October 16, have all been born to animals that have been kept in the zoo, said Emma Kristiana Chandra, public relations executive of the zoo. Right now, the hatchlings have been placed in an incubator by the veterinarians of the zoo to provide them a controlled climate.

The dusky wallaby is the 9th marsupial in the Bali Zoo.

With the birth of these animals, there are now about 60 individual animals in the Bali Zoo.

The Bali Zoo is also successful with its tiger breeding program which has already produced 15 tigers since 2007. In June alone, three female Bengal tiger cubs were born in the zoo.

The Bali Zoo is another tourist destination, apart from the villas Bali and villas in Bali for rent. It is located in the Gianyar regency which is close to Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak, and Nusa Dua. It is only about a 15-minute drive from Ubud. It was opened in 2002 and is Bali’s first and only dedicated zoological park and is a Balinese-owned private zoo.

It sits on 22 acres of lush landscape and is home to quite a number of exotic animals that are unique only to Indonesia.
